分享
As we all know, there are several heritage trails in Hong Kong. Now I would like to introduce one of the heritage trails to all of you which are called Ping Shan Heritage Trail.

The trail is located in Yuen Long and was the first heritage trail in Hong Kong. It is about one kilometer long and along the way you can see numerous building of traditional Chinese design such as Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda, Tang Ancestral Hall. Both of them were declared as a monument in 2001.

Tsui Sing Lau Pagoda is the only ancient pagoda in Hong Kong. The three-storey pagoda has the history over 600 years. It is a hexagonal shaped pagoda that constructed of green brick. Due to the reason of feng shui, it was believed that there is deity in charge of success or failure in Imperial Civil Service Examinations and you can also see those auspicious sayings on each floor.

Tang Ancestral Hall was built by Tang Fung-shun, the fifth generation ancestor of Tang Clan about 700 years ago. The building is the main ancestral hall of the Tang clan of Ping Shan which designed in a three-hall structure with two internal courtyards.

It provides you an opportunity to perceive more about the traditional lifestyle in New Territories. Moreover, this an interesting and valuable heritage trail for you to visit.
